HEBENKRAFT designs, manufactures, and supplies 10 MT capacity Electric Capstans along with 27 Fairleads and 20 Tackle Arrangements for shipyards and naval dock applications, used for controlled pulling, guiding, and positioning of large ships and submarines during berthing and parking operations. As part of the Indian Navy’s prestigious Seabird Project at Karwar.

The Fairleads are used to guide the ropes safely, while the Tackle Arrangement changes the rope direction as required, working in coordination with the Capstan pulling system. This integrated and customized system was a unique requirement of the Indian Navy and was successfully executed by HEBENKRAFT.

All design, drawing approvals, and inspections were carried out by M/s AECOM, Karwar.
