MANUFACTURING PROCESS

STEP 01

Design & Drawing Process

After receipt of the client's Purchase Order, the Design & Drawing Department prepares the General Arrangement Drawing (GAD) and detailed engineering drawings. The GAD is submitted for client approval, and once approved, the finalized drawings are released for manufacturing, fabrication, and further execution.

Raw Material Procurement
STEP 02

Raw Material Procurement

Based on approved drawings and BOQ, the Purchase Department procures all required raw materials from approved and reputed vendors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and delivery timelines.

STEP 03

Raw Material Testing & Certification

All incoming raw materials are physically inspected and verified by the HEBENKRAFT QA/QC Department. The materials are cross-checked against test certificates and relevant standards to ensure conformity with approved Material of Construction (MOC) before being released for further processing.

STEP 04

Pattern Development & Casting / Forging

Patterns are developed as per approved drawings and released to authorized vendors for casting and forging. Materials undergo chemical, mechanical, hardness, and Ultrasonic Testing to ensure quality, internal soundness, and compliance before acceptance.

STEP 05

Machining Operations

Machining starts with rough machining followed by final machining to achieve accurate dimensions. Components such as wheels, shafts, gears, pulleys, hooks, and gear internals are manufactured as per detailed drawings.

STEP 06

Vendor Inspection & Material Transfer

After completion of machining at the vendor's premises, the components are inspected by the QA/QC department to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards. Once the items are checked and approved, they are dispatched to the manufacturing unit for further assembly and processing stages.

STEP 07

Heat Treatment / Stress Relieving

After machining, components undergo heat treatment or stress relieving depending on their application. This process ensures required hardness, strength, and durability of both forged and fabricated items.

Structural Fabrication
STEP 08

Structural Fabrication

Structural components are fabricated using quality steel as per approved drawings. Welding is carried out by qualified personnel, followed by stress relieving and machining. Major components like rope drums and gearboxes are manufactured and assembled in-house.

STEP 09

In-House Gearbox Manufacturing

HEBENKRAFT manufactures its own gearboxes for most of its material handling equipment. The gearbox casings are fabricated using MS plates as per IS 2062 standards, followed by welding and stress relieving to ensure strength and durability. After this, precision boring is carried out on high-accuracy machines. The internal assembly, including pinion shaft, gears, and output shaft, is completed at the manufacturing unit. These gearboxes are heavy-duty, foot-mounted, and available in horizontal helical, vertical helical, and vertical spur designs, suitable for high power and continuous operations.

STEP 10

Quality Inspection & NDT

Quality checks are conducted at every stage. Welding and structural parts undergo Non-Destructive Testing such as DP, MPI, UT, and RT as per applicable standards to ensure reliability and defect-free construction.

STEP 11

Assembly & Trial Run

After fabrication, components are assembled at the workshop. Dimensional inspection is carried out, followed by no-load trial run and performance verification in presence of the client.

Surface Preparation & Painting
STEP 12

Surface Preparation & Painting

The equipment is cleaned through blasting (SA 2.5 standard) and painted as per IS standards. The process includes primer, intermediate, and final coats with proper DFT measurement as per specifications.

STEP 13

Packing, Dispatch & Installation

After final inspection and approval, the equipment is properly packed and dispatched safely to site. HEBENKRAFT also provides support for installation and commissioning to ensure smooth project execution.
